Is Higgsfield Genjutsu Free? Access, Credits and Clip Costs
Check model eligibility, trial conditions, per-job quotes and retry costs before committing to a video restyling service.
A free account is not the same as a free Genjutsu render. Check the exact model, access route and checkout conditions before uploading footage or buying a plan.

Three different meanings of “free”
Free registration may let you explore a website without granting enough credits for the selected task. Trial credits may be restricted to particular models or expire. Generation without per-job credits may be a feature of a paid plan, with a queue or narrower model access.
For example, DomoAI describes Relax generation within eligible paid plans and distinguishes it from Fast mode. That is not evidence of free Genjutsu access or free access to every model. DomoAI’s plan conditions.
What changes the cost of a clip?
For the Genjutsu Restyle API, the official reference describes resolution-dependent billing and rounding source duration up to whole seconds after the endpoint’s trim. The amount you actually spend also depends on how many attempts you need. Write down the initial quote, each retry and the number of results you would use. Avoid treating a low advertised starting price as the cost of a finished production clip.
Check a trial before paying
Ask these questions in the account or checkout:
- Does the offer include the exact restyle model and resolution I need?
- Is the trial balance enough for my source length, and when does it expire?
- Will outputs contain a watermark or require a separate export purchase?
- Does accepting a trial start a recurring subscription?
- What happens to credits when a task fails, and what is the cash refund policy?
If the interface does not clearly answer a question, resolve it before payment. Rights to upload a video and rights to use a generated result are separate considerations; a free offer is not a commercial license.
AI Genjutsu’s offer is separate
AI Genjutsu is an independent Seedance-powered service for creating new videos from text or an optional image. It does not provide Higgsfield Genjutsu restyling. A Higgsfield promotion does not apply here, and a balance here does not transfer to Higgsfield. The pricing page, account balance and studio quote determine this service’s available offer. We do not promise unlimited free generation. Genjutsu API costs described above are competitor information, not the cost model of our generation studio.
A returned task credit is different from a cash refund. Review our refund policy and keep the task ID when reporting a billing discrepancy.
Spend less on a restyling experiment
Use a short, deliberately selected take, establish the style at a practical output tier, and inspect one result before submitting variations. Make one change at a time. Keep the source file and settings so you can identify what improved the next result.
When evaluating another service, use the same-clip comparison method. When learning the inputs, start with the Genjutsu guide. A small planned experiment usually tells you more than several unrelated renders.
